About Me (WIP)

My parents met in a bar. I met my husband in a bar. And my brother met his significant other in a bar.

I write lists constantly. I’m very wordy when I write – and lists help me to tame the beast that is “Thesaurus Rex”.

I am both exceedingly open minded and a total snob. Which makes me half liberal, half conservative and wrecks havoc on my conscience when I vote.

Since the age of 13, I have never been a normal weight. I’ve either been way too skinny or way too fat. Never a happy medium.

There are two things that I cannot hold back voicing my disdain for: Titanic & Oprah

I prefer to communicate (ranked in order of preference): 1. via email; 2. in person; 3. through instant message; 4. by USPS; 5. on the phone.

For seven years (pre-marriage) I worked in the field of site location research. I travelled a lot. I loved every minute of it. I miss it.

I currently work for a blue chip high tech company. I am neither tech saavy nor do I have any interest in what we manufacture or sell. I have no idea how I got this job and am not terribly inspired by it, but am grateful that I have it and I do my best to meet and exceed every goal, task and project given to me.

Gene Wilder gives me the creeps.

I wish I was naturally quiet.

I have two awesome brothers that I do not see often enough. One is a talented athlete and teacher who has almost reached his lifelong goal of becoming a fireman. The other is sweet, funny, and complicated person who has Down’s and loves movies and desserts.

I’ve always wanted to be an artist. But I have no artistic talent.

My husband makes dinner 95% of the time. I do 100% of the laundry.

I start guitar lessons in February 2009. I’m excited.

All of my serious boyfriends had nicknames amongst my family and friends(unbeknownst to them). There was: Mr. Boring, The Phantom, The Hippie, & The Old Guy.

I have never tried chili. And I don’t plan to.
